The infliction of physical or mental injury, sexual abuse, exploitation or negligent treatment or maltreatment of a person under the age of 18. Sexual abuse refers to engaging in or attempting to engage in a sexual act or sexual contact with a minor, causing or attempting to cause a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct or exposing a minor to sexually explicit conduct. Neglect includes the failure to meet a child’s basic needs or make reasonable effort to prevent the harm or infliction of abuse upon a minor.

All buildings, facilities and properties that are owned, operated, managed or controlled by Ashland University.

Individuals required by state law to report known or suspected Title IX violations and abuse or neglect of minors to local law enforcement and/or the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA).
